IES Announces FY2015 Education Research and Special Education Research Grants

The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) has announced its fiscal year (FY) 2015 competitions for grants to support education research and special education research. Applications will be available on June 5, 2014, and the deadline for transmittal of applications is August 7, 2014.

Background

IES's purpose in awarding these grants is to provide national leadership in expanding fundamental knowledge and understanding of (a) developmental and school readiness outcomes for infants and toddlers with or at risk for disability and (b) education outcomes for all students from early childhood education through postsecondary and adult education.

The Institute's National Center for Education Research (NCER) will hold five competitions:

  1. education research,
  2. education research training,
  3. education research and development centers,
  4. statistical and research methodology in education,
  5. partnerships and collaborations focused on problems of practice or policy.

The Institute's National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) will hold two competitions: (1) special education research and (2) special education research training.
