Take Action to Continue Therapy Cap Exceptions Process in 2012

With less than 60 days remaining for Congress to take action on the therapy cap, it is imperative for all speech-language pathologists to contact their members of Congress and let them know the detrimental impact of the therapy caps on Medicare beneficiaries. ASHA is working closely with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) to provide Congress with a proposal that could lead to the elimination of the therapy caps within the next three years.

With congressional focus on debt reduction and recommendations from the "Super Committee," we need to ensure that Congress does not lose sight of Medicare extenders that are set to expire at the end of the year. Please contact your member of Congress today on this critical issue.
