NSSLHA currently allows advertising in NSSLHA Now!, the association newsletter, and Contemporary Issues in Communication Science and Disorders (CICSD).

Electronic Submission Requirements
All advertising must be submitted electronically. Camera-ready film will not be accepted.
NSSLHA reserves the right to refuse, reject, or cancel any ad for any reason at any time without liability.
Publication Specs

Ad Sizes
- At this time, only half-page horizontal ads are available in NSSLHA Now!.
- Half-page ad with bleed: 8.5" wide x 5.5" tall with 1/8" bleed on all sides. Keep all live matter 1/2" from edges.
- Half-page ad with no bleed: 7.5" wide x 4.875" tall. Include a 1-pt border rule around ad.
Inks
- 4-color (CMYK)
- Ads with critical color should be accompanied by a color contact proofs. Ads submitted without contact proofs will be matched to pleasing color standards.
Preferred Formats
Important: All placed images (photos, logos, etc) must be converted to CMYK before creating PDF-X1a. Also convert all spot colors in layout to CMYK.
- Preferred format is press-optimized PDF-X1a with embedded fonts, images at 300 dpi. Use Acrobat Distiller to create PDF-X1a from PostScript.
- Adobe Illustrator EPS with all fonts converted to outlines. Files may not contain transparency options. Any images or photographs must be CMYK and embedded into file. Photos must have a resolution of 300ppi at full size; Line art must have a minimum resolution of 600ppi at full size. Save file as CMYK EPS.
- Though not ideal, high resolution PhotoShop TIFF or EPS (at 300ppi at full size) can also be accepted as final art.
- Native InDesign CS will be accepted only if in Macintosh platform with supporting fonts and graphics.
- Microsoft Word or PowerPoint files are not accepted.
Media Accepted
- CD-ROM. Files must be accompanied by a laser proof reference. Some files may be e-mailed, however, you may experience an email limitation due to file size. We are able to receive most large size files (files may be zipped or stuffed).
- Label CD with advertiser name, ad name, and publication.
- Include a laser print reference of advertisement at 100% size.
- Files smaller than 5 MB may be submitted via e-mail to nsslha@asha.org. Reference NSSLHA Now! Advertisement in the subject line of the e-mail.
- If ad is particularly large, please contact NSSLHA at nsslha@asha.org for instructions on using ASHA's FTP site.

CICSD follows the same advertising policies and procedures as the ASHA Journals.
