I joined NSSLHA because: I originally joined NSSLHA as an undergrad for networking and education. As I've progressed through my education I have become active at the local and national level to provide opportunities for students, have a voice in advocating for our future, and promote healthy hearing care.

I applied for a position on the NSSLHA Executive Council because: I am applying for a position on the NSSLHA executive council so I may have a greater voice in advocating for my profession, and teaching the public about what an audiologist is.

During my two-year term on the Executive Council, I will be successful if I accomplish: I would feel accomplished if I could: 1. Educate students and get them involved in the current issues facing audiology. 2. Get more of my audiology peers to join NSSLHA 3. Get a better audiology turnout at the ASHA Convention 4. Help make NSSLHA Day and it's anniversary off the charts AWESOME!

My vision for my region is: My vision is to get more involved in the Audiology UHC Board with ASHA, and to get audiology news to students to let them know NSSLHA isn't only for SLPs.
