Attend practical sessions targeted to the preprofessional interests of undergraduate and graduate students. Topics may range from surviving your CSD program to clinical externships to fourth-year placements.
Session 1:
Collaboration between Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist 9:00 a.m.–10:15 a.m.
A panel of experts will discuss the roles of the audiologist and speech-language pathologist and provide students with important information necessary for effective collaboration between the professions.
Session 2:
Surviving Your Externships, Clinical Fellowships, or Residencies 10:30 a.m.–noon
This session will prepare students to survive and be successful in their externships, clinical fellowships, or fourth year placements. Hear it straight from ASHA's experts and learn how to find a facility and mentor to provide the optimal experience, apply for certification, and much more!
Session 3:
Crash Course on Intervention Techniques 9:00 a.m.–noon
This session will provide students an opportunity to speak with professionals in various areas of audiology and speech-language pathology. Students will learn practical tips and observe demonstrations of intervention techniques. Some of the various topics will include voice, cochlear implants, swallowing, hearing aids/assistive listening devices, and much more.

Battle of the Regions: NSSLHA Knowledge Bowl

Meet with an employer for a 15 minute session and get tips on polishing your resume for college applications, scholarships, internships, or simply to land your first job.
