Changes to CICSD Journal
The Council elected to offer CICSD to members in an online-only format beginning in 2010, and to offer a print-on-demand service as an option for accessing journal articles for non-members.
Changes to RC Responsibilities
The Council adopted policies recommended by the NSSLHA Executive Committee on Regional Councilor responsibilities on ASHA Boards and Committees [PDF].

Changes to the selection process for the Honors of NSSLHA and Chapter Honors
The Executive Council voted to accept the recommendation of the Honors Committee for improvements to the guidelines for the selection of the Honors of NSSLHA candidates [PDF] and the guidelines for the selection of candidates for Chapter Honors [PDF]. Implementation of the new guidelines begins with the 2010 Honors application season.
Selection of the "NSSLHA Loves" Recipient
The Council accepted the recommendation of the Honors Committee for improvements to the guidelines for the selection of candidates for "NSSLHA Loves" [PDF]. Implementation of the new guidelines is scheduled for the 2010–2011 funding cycle.
Changes to the NSSLHA Luncheon and Awards Ceremony
In an effort to create a greater networking opportunity between the local and the national leadership, the Council agreed to limit attendance to the 2009 NSSLHA Luncheon and Awards ceremony to NSSLHA chapter advisors, chapter officers, and invited guests. Attendance to the luncheon and awards ceremony is by invitation only and only those that RSVP will be admitted into the event. Invitations to attend the luncheon will be extended to chapters in good standing by September 30, 2009. RSVPs will be accepted until November 9, 2009.

The Council selected 4 Paws for Ability as the recipients of the 2009–2010 "NSSLHA Loves" campaign.
Bilingual Therapies
The Executive Council agreed to extend the current partnership agreement with Bilingual Therapies until March 2010.
CEUs for Students
The Council formed a joint subcommittee to explore a program recognizing continuing education units (CEUs) for members. The goal of the committee is to determine the feasibility of the concept and its value to students.
NSSLHA Product Recommendations
The marketing committee recommended the addition of NSSLHA polo shirts as a for-sale product.
