Guidelines for NSSLHA Chapter Honors

That's right: having a local NSSLHA chapter has become even more rewarding! Simply earn points for your local chapter and receive national recognition for your outstanding achievements.

NSSLHA Chapter Honors are awarded to local chapters for their fundraising, community service, advocacy, career awareness, and recruitment efforts. Chapters meeting the criteria for gold, silver or bronze status will be acknowledged by the national association annually during the ASHA Convention, in print, and on the Web.

The Honor that you earn is up to you: Use the guidelines below to be awarded the bronze, strive for the silver, or go for the gold!

Gold

Chapters receiving "Gold" level recognition must meet these requirements:

• In good standing with the national association (recertify online)
• Donation to "NSSLHA Loves" of $500 or more
• Contribution to the regional newsletter
• Submit a nomination for Chapter Advisor Honors or the Honors of NSSLHA, and Member Honors
• Submit a grant application (McKinley Regional Project Grant or Community Service Grant)
• Participate in a CSD Career Awareness activity
• Participate in two or more advocacy activities (advocacy activities can be federal, state, or local)
• Engage in social media/promotion of the NSSLHA chapter (This includes submission of video to NSSLHA's You Tube page, posting in the NSSLHA group of the ASHA Community, Facebook page, Twitter page, or Linked In.

Silver

Chapters receiving "Silver" recognition must meet these requirements:

• In good standing with the national association (recertify online)
• Donation to "NSSLHA Loves" of $250 or more
• Contribution to the regional newsletter
• Submit a nomination for Chapter Advisor Honors, the Honors of NSSLHA, or Member Honors
• Participate in a CSD Career Awareness activity
• Participate in one or more advocacy activities (advocacy activities can be federal, state, or local)

Bronze

Chapters receiving "Bronze" recognition must meet these requirements:

• In good standing with the national association (recertify online)
• Donation to "NSSLHA Loves" of $250 or more
• Participate in a CSD Career Awareness activity
• Participate in one or more advocacy activities (advocacy activities can be federal, state, or local)
