Guidelines for NSSLHA Chapter Honors

NSSLHA Chapter Honors are awarded to local chapters for activities completed and/or planned during the current academic year.

Which Honor your Chapter earns is up to you. Use the guidelines below to achieve Bronze, Silver, or Gold Chapter Honors and Chapter of the Year.

NSSLHA Gold Chapter Honors

Chapters receiving Gold level recognition must meet these requirements:

Gold awardee chapters will receive:

  • University Spotlight on the NSSLHA website
  • Chapter Spotlight in the NSSLHA communications
  • Supplementary training pieces to enhance chapter meetings
  • A recognition ribbon at the ASHA Convention
  • NSSLHA Gold Chapter logo to display on their website and materials

NSSLHA Silver Chapter Honors

Chapters receiving Silver level recognition must meet these requirements:

Silver awardee chapters will receive:

  • Chapter Spotlight in NSSLHA communications
  • Supplementary training pieces to enhance chapter meetings
  • A recognition ribbon at the ASHA Convention
  • NSSLHA Silver Chapter logo to display on their website and materials

NSSLHA Bronze Chapter Honors

Chapters receiving Bronze level recognition must meet these requirements:

Bronze awardee chapters will receive:

  • A recognition ribbon at the ASHA Convention
  • NSSLHA Bronze Chapter logo to display on their website and materials

Chapter of the Year Award

Chapter of the Year is awarded to one of the NSSLHA Gold Chapter Honors recipients. We will be looking for chapters that clearly demonstrate a commitment to increasing chapter engagement and awareness of national NSSLHA's mission. This can be through, but is not limited to:

The Chapter of the Year awardee will receive:

Candidates for the Chapter of the Year Award may not have received the award in the past 2 years.
