The Awards Ceremony will celebrate the highest achievement and excellence in the professions of your colleagues and friends. The evening begins with the presentation of the Honors of the Association, ASHA's most prestigious award that stresses the lifetime achievements of ASHA members. The ASHA Fellows, whose contributions form the cornerstones of the professions, are also presented. Several additional awards will be presented that honor those members who have contributed to the professions and association.

ASHA is pleased to present the Annie Glenn award to performing artist Joey McIntyre of "New Kids on the Block". McIntyre's son, Rhys, has moderate to severe hearing loss which was detected in the hospital during his newborn hearing screening. Annie Glenn, wife of Senator John Glenn, is known nationwide for her advocacy for those with communication disorders. Mrs. Glenn will be with us in Philadelphia to personally present the "Annie".
