Social Media at the ASHA Convention

With each passing year, social media becomes more engrained into communication sciences and disorders (CSD) professionals' communications mix. Much more than a way of telling the world what you ate for lunch, social media has become a key element in personal and professional networking for SLPs, audiologists, and CSD students. ASHA is pleased to offer many social media touchpoints prior to and during the ASHA Convention to help attendees engage with the community and bring virtual connections into real time.

Follow @ashaconv and #asha13 on Twitter to connect with fellow attendees, ASHA social media staff in Chicago, to receive important Convention updates, and to learn about various other social media activities taking place during the Convention.

Share Your Magic Moment

Many speech and hearing professionals fondly recall their "magic moment" when everything clicked and they knew they had chosen the right profession. Whether they were treating a client who finally had a breakthrough with their therapy, or their research demonstrated a particular outcome, that moment affirmed their decision to pursue a rewarding career in communication sciences and disorders. What was your "magic moment"? Share it on ASHA's Twitter feed using the #ashamagic hashtag!
