Membership Status and Categories
Is Your ASHA or NSSLHA Membership Current?
To make your Convention registration experience as easy as possible, now is a good time to check your membership status and make sure that your dues are current. The Convention registration process requires you to register using the same membership category that is indicated in ASHA's database.
If your registration shows a member category that does not match the one in the ASHA database, your registration cannot be processed until this problem is resolved, and mailing of your Convention materials may be delayed. If you have questions regarding your membership or dues, call the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071.
How You Can Join ASHA
ASHA membership applications cannot be accepted at Convention. If you plan to join ASHA, call 800-498-2071. Your membership may not be processed in time for you to take advantage of the discounted registration fee; therefore, you should pay the fee that applies to you at the time you register.
Refunds for registration category adjustments cannot be issued during Convention. You will receive a credit card refund or check refund in the mail after Convention. E-mail email@example.com for more information about membership status changes, status change deadlines, and registration refunds.
New Professional ASHA Member/CFY
If you have been a member and working from one to three years, you may register under this discounted rate. This rate is also available upon request to people in their Clinical Fellowship Year.
Current NSSLHA members must have a NSSLHA membership number to register for Convention at the NSSLHA rate. If you are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, or are a full-time doctoral student and do not hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence, you are eligible to join NSSLHA.
Graduate Student Members of ASHA
If you are an ASHA Graduate Student member (doctoral candidate holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence), you may register at the discounted rate. You need to include your member number and use the student registration form. If you are unsure of your ASHA membership category, please call the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071.

ASHA members and speech-language pathologists and audiologists who are not ASHA members are not eligible for this registration category. Guests must be registered in order to access the Exhibit Hall.
