Interview With an Employer
More than 60 employers are ready to hire! If you are actively seeking employment, you can set up an interview or just drop by during Career Fair hours. Come by even if you're not ready to change jobs right now—the first step can be starting the conversation with a knowledgeable recruiter. Employers' jobs will be posted on ASHA's Online Career Center through November 30, 2015.
Focus on Total Well-Being
If it's not a job you're after, plan to attend one of the work/life balance workshops. Located at the back of the Career Fair, Thursday's Circle of Support workshops (sponsored by Progressus Therapy) focus on total well-being in the workplace and beyond. Led by Suzanne Levy, these workshops are geared to help you focus on ways to bring more balance and incorporate mindfulness into your daily living. See a complete list of descriptions.
Your Career on the Move
New this year—on Friday and Saturday, the ASHA Circle of Support workshops (sponsored by Progressus Therapy) will focus on your career! In addition to the résumé review, Career Coach Brenda Cody will enlighten you regarding how you can be intentional about your career and learn to differentiate yourself from your competition.
Tweak Your Résumé
Tailoring your résumé to the job you are seeking can help you get noticed; networking with hiring managers who constantly recruit can assist you with doing just that. Stop by the Career Fair information booth to pick up a list of employers who are participating in the Résumé Star Program. Résumé Stars are designated employers you can meet for a 10-minute session to receive tips on how to make your résumé shine. In addition to being available during the Résumé Star Program hours, Brenda Cody will review résumés at the ASHA Circle of Support on Friday and Saturday. View the complete schedule.
Whether you are just starting out, are looking to change your work setting, or are seeking to advance your career, the ASHA Career Fair has something for you!
