Announcing New Course and Offering Registration and Reporting Forms
In response to your feedback, ASHA CE announces key improvements to our forms:
On February 1, 2011, we're rolling out new features that will add value for your participants, give you more visibility for your courses, and streamline administrative tasks. Here are the new enhancements (please note the hyperlinks to further explanations):
CEUs in half-hour increments. For example, you'll be able to offer a 6 ½ hour course for 0.65 ASHA CEUs, giving you more flexibility in planning your courses. This will be available for new course registrations only (i.e. those received after 2/1/11).
Three easy-to-understand types of learning experiences now replace the 44 Course Type categories
Greater flexibility to add just-in-time offerings. We're shortening the filing deadline for adding multiple offerings from 15 to 3 days. Once you register a course, you can file an additional offering using a web form or the new Additional Offering List form [PDF] as late as 3 days prior to its start date.
Registration contact added to Course Search. You'll be able to display a phone number, e-mail, or web address for the registration contact of each course.
Less paperwork. We're consolidating several forms into one, and requiring fewer attachments for course registration. You will no longer be required to attach speaker bios, course evaluation forms or learning assessments materials.
CEA-friendly instructions [PDF]. We're making our instructions and forms easier to use, including:
- Prompts to guide you through registering an individual (i.e., self-study) learning experience
- A check off box to indicate whether course offerings should display on Course Search
- Prompts to help you calculate and document the number of ASHA CEUs for a course
- A check off on the course registration form to indicate if a course is offered for partial credit
Evidence-Based CE data collection. A question was added to collect data about the resources you share with individuals who plan and implement courses offered for ASHA CEUs.
All these changes go into effect immediately, February 1, 2011, with the release of our new course and offering registration forms. You can start using the new forms today! All CE Providers will be required to use the new forms by June 1, 2011.
