Idaho Hearing Screening Requirements for Newborns and School-Aged Children

Newborn Screening

Idaho laws/regulations do not require newborn hearing screening. However, Idaho Sound Beginnings voluntarily administer the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program and conducts newborn hearing screenings on 98% of births in Idaho.

School-Age Screening

Idaho laws/regulations do not require school-age hearing screenings.
