CAA Reporting in the HES

General Information and Time Lines

Submission Dates

All accreditation applications and annual reports must be submitted to the CAA using the HES. Programs are provided access to the system 4 months prior to the submission due date, which are based on the program's accreditation cycle anniversary date as noted below.

  • February 1 (accreditation cycle dates November–April): October 1 access to HES
  • August 1 (accreditation cycle dates May–October): April 1 access to HES  

The CAA will consider extension requests to allow additional time to complete and submit required reports. Failure to submit a required report to the CAA may result in Administrative Probation or Lapse of Accreditation. CAA Reviews and Time Lines

Annual Reports – CAA typically communicates to programs the results of its annual report reviews approximately 5 months after submission. Applications for Initial or Continued Accreditation – CAA typically provides its Initial Observations to the programs for a response approximately 3 months after submission. Candidacy Applications and Annual Progress Reports are not completed as an online submission through the HES.
